Recommend and execute system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
Create and maintain policies and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
Design, create and maintain comprehensive documentation of best practices for all implemented system configurations.
Represent the Systems Group in Technology Review Boards ensuring that best practices and consistent methodologies are considered.
Provide software evaluation support.
Work closely with other technical team members and departments to recommend solutions and resolve priority issues in timely manner.
Interact with multiple internal customers and external vendors and partners to provide quality customer service.
Drive escalations and ensure vendors and partners responsibilities and SLA's are met, as necessary.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and act as escalation point for other Systems personnel.
Facilitate as escalation resource for incident, request, change and problem management.
May be responsible for working on automation using DevOps techniques.
Provide support for internal customers and external vendors with disaster recovery activities and audit requests, as needed.
May serve as a mentor to other team members. Shares expertise and best practices and serves as a subject matter expert.

Requirements
Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant experience based on specific discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a medium to large scale enterprise.
Proven knowledge and experience with the following disciplines (depending on area of expertise needed):
Installing, configuring and operating software packages in both Windows, Linux and IBM Mainframe environments, including Web applications, Tomcat, Apache, SSL, Certificates Server configuration, NFS Configuration, LDAP configuration and performance tuning
Network troubleshooting (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, server ports, switches/routers, firewalls)
Analysis and diagnosis of large-scale infrastructure for networking and I/O bottlenecks
Designing and implementing security solutions inside and across secure networks
Oracle, SQL, IBM MQ, Websphere including schema analysis, analysis of applications, understanding performance verses load implications on the database
Aptitude to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Experienced with network security and encryption protocols.
Experienced with Relational Database concepts.
