Handling and managing complex Employment Practices Liability Claims to determine appropriate valuation, settlement strategies and ensure adherence to company policies
Attending mediations and monitoring trials as necessary
Drafting coverage correspondence on primary claims, negotiating complex coverage issues, and recommending outside coverage counsel when warranted
Mentoring junior claims adjusters
Supporting underwriting and actuarial teams by maintaining data and analytics
Maintaining and developing relationships with senior executives, brokers, underwriters, insureds, and outside counsel
Managing costs in collaboration with the Litigation Management and Vendor Management teams
Maintaining accurate records of claim activities and updating systems with relevant information in a timely manner
Requirements
Hold a Juris Doctorate
Demonstrate ability to work as a team and meet deadlines
Have skills in litigation management, investigation, dispute resolution
Have experience independently drafting coverage letters
Have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders
