The Engineer will work with a field team of Project Management, Systems Engineers, System Technologists, Construction Managers, and Customer Service Managers, and will be responsible for leading technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance.
Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN and CEN networks.
High level of customer and consultant interaction involving customer design reviews, customer witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts.
System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments.
Live system cutovers and upgrades.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 3+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 5 years of engineering or technical experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
Experience with P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology and two-way subscriber radio provisioning methods.
Knowledge of the systems to include: VMware ESXI, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.
Knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS).
Certifications a plus through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar a plus.
