Coordinate changes to outcome-based field operations training, competency, and qualification programs while monitoring regional compliance with established standards.
Lead training needs assessments and support management of change initiatives, ensuring effective development and delivery of training for field staff.
Develop and govern the overall training strategy, including frameworks, standards, templates, and processes to ensure consistency and alignment across programs.
Partner with subject matter experts and the LP Technical Training to design, enhance, and validate outcome-based training and competency verification programs.
Provide coaching and guidance to maintain safety-critical, process safety, and quality-related competencies mapped to field roles within the learning management system (LMS).
Drive continuous improvement through peer reviews, feedback loops, incident analysis, internal assessments, and annual program evaluations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Health & Safety, Emergency Management, Environment, Pipeline Compliance, Damage Prevention) to ensure training is effective, efficient, and aligned with operational goals.
Requirements
Related university degree and minimum of 7 or more years of directly related experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience.
Training development, content creation tool(s) and classroom facilitator experience considered an asset.
Ability to work independently and coordinate a small team on complex technical issues.
Broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management, finding opportunities and has a keen awareness of interrelationships with other stakeholders.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
