responsible for the repair and maintenance of assigned programs as needed
assuring quality service in a safe, non-judgmental manner to all program participants
responsible for preventive maintenance of building heating/air conditioning units
maintenance of interior/exterior common areas
renovating apartments for new residents
repairing apartment deficiencies as they occur
general inspection of building perimeter and facility grounds
maintain plumbing and electrical services
conduct required inspections of heating/cooling systems and smoke detectors
maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service request, apartment make-ready and periodic inspections
make recommendations to Maintenance Supervisor on necessary maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance and property improvements

demonstrated ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry skills
communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions
provide services to clients without ethnic or social prejudices
general knowledge of issues and challenges unique to homelessness, substance abuse, young adults, minorities, and people with disabilities
flexibility to work irregular hours
willingness to function as a team member
computer skills required
valid California driver's license and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines
must pass all required background clearances in accordance with agency, County, State, and federal standards
CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment
completion and maintenance of all required training and health clearances
