Payroll Team Leader

Role Overview

• Responsible for processing monthly payroll of employees
• Ensuring tax commitments are accurate
• Overseeing the preparation and distribution of payslips to employees throughout the UK
• Ensure relevant paperwork is processed in a timely manner
• Supervise payroll account reconciliations
• Investigate any discrepancies
• Primary point of contact for the business
• Mentoring and developing a team of 4
• Representing the Payroll function in various projects
• Driving development and improvement of processes

Requirements

• Significant experience working in a Payroll team, ideally in a larger business
• Strong Excel knowledge (pivot tables and vlookups)
• Good knowledge of payroll legislation
• Ability to work well with your team and communicate effectively with other stakeholders
• Great attention to detail and an ability to solve problems quickly and accurately
• Previous team leadership experience is desirable
• Workday knowledge would be advantageous
• A payroll-related qualification, such as CIPP, would also be advantageous
