Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring various initiatives and projects independently and/or in partnership with business partners (Operations, front offices, and others).
Execute various reporting tasks for the U.S. managements, regional offices (Canada, Mexico, and Brazil), and Tokyo HO, including KPIs and management decks.
Plan and lead initiatives and build strong partnerships with Tokyo HO, front-office teams, and key control/support functions (Technology, Risk/Compliance, etc.) to align with Tokyo HO’s direction and policies.
Own delivery governance and stakeholder management: establish work plans and WBS, resource estimates, schedules, and progress/risk visibility; escalate issues and drive decisions to closure across multiple stakeholders and locations.
Lead cross-border liaison and complex case resolution by structuring and driving time-sensitive inquiries and escalations (e.g., payment/settlement coordination).
Requirements
Bilingual Japanese/English required.
5+ years of experience in the financial industry.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives independently (multi-stakeholder, multi-location, tight deadlines).
Strong working knowledge of banking operations and related products/processes (e.g., payments/settlement operations and related change/incident governance).
Strong Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Power Automate/Power BI Desktop/Visio/Outlook) skills.
Proven experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Ability to proactively take the initiative to work efficiently and effectively on team-oriented projects.
Deadline-oriented and able to perform effectively while working independently.
