Role Overview
- identifying, negotiating and managing pharmaceutical contracts
- driving rebate revenue opportunities for medical and/or pharmacy drugs
- managing profitable business relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers
- identifying and obtaining new medical drug contracts
- reviewing and analyzing complex medical drug claims
- partnering with internal rebate operations teams
- collaborating with finance, analytics, pharmacy, and policy teams
- participating in discussions and negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers
- supporting issue resolution related to rebate discrepancies
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field
- minimum of 8 years contract negotiation and sales experience
- strong knowledge of medical drugs, specialty pharmaceuticals, rebate contracting
- experience working within a PBM, health plan, or pharmaceutical manufacturer environment
- advanced analytical and financial skills
- experience utilizing large medical and pharmacy claims datasets
- experience supporting rebate operations including contract negotiation, invoicing, collections reconciliation
- intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
