Chosen Candidate will join the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Business Unit’s System Integration & Sustainment (SIS) Operating Unit and contribute to the Weapon System Integration (WSI) Electrical Design Integration (EDI) Team.
Support as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Weapon System Electrical Design Integration Team, responsible for integrating all segment and lower-level team’s designs.
Understand the intent of Weapon System design and drive engineering processes & analyses into specific product team designs.
Demonstrate strong leadership and foundational systems engineering skills to drive process and technical gap resolution of interface and requirement design solutions.
Develop and implement modeling solutions, conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance.
Collaborate with technical leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and flight testing.
Assist with the planning, coordination, and analysis supporting system and subsystem development, integration, test, production, and support flight test operations.
Perform the test design process along with the design, analysis and fabrication of specialty test equipment required for environmental testing and handling.
Collaborate with other IPTs to define test objectives and requirements for test activities in the system integration labs.
Manage the internal & external electrical interfaces and develops the corresponding system-level interconnect/block diagrams, grounding diagrams, electrical schematics and global connectivity list for the weapon system.
Manage hardware command and telemetry implementation and verify electrical connectivity implementation.
Develop electrical system architecture alternatives in concert with the broader systems engineering effort.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 10 years experience; PhD with 8 years experience
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
Minimum 8+ years working experience on ICBMs or other ground to air-based systems
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in at least three of the following fields: electrical architecture, design, interface definition, development and test of mixed signal circuits, power distribution, or avionics system integration for aerospace or defense
Extensive Electrical Engineering background with an understanding of analog and digital electronics, power systems, Command and Data Handling, Signal Integrity, and Grounding schema
7+ years of technical experience in systems engineering and/or integration execution
Strong electrical engineering design and analysis skills in the application of test hardware design along with the implementation of the design review process (DRR, PDR & CDR)
Experience using Siemens Xpedition, Altium Designer, or a similar development suite for Schematic Capture, CCA Layout, and DRC.
Experience using Siemens Capital
Ability to determine unit-under-test test requirements and then translate those requirements into a test and repair operational environment
Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Experience with Spice, MathCAD, MATLAB, or other simulation tool suites
Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills; works well in a team environment within all levels of the test integrated team structure
Experience with creating and executing to schedule & technical recovery plans
