Providing legal support for a wide variety of real estate transactions, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing letters of intent, lease agreements, lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, lease termination agreements, management agreements, vendor agreement and master service agreements, broker agreements, deeds, easement agreements, non-disturbance agreements and other real estate related legal documents.
Providing significant day-to-day legal support to management and business partners in Corporate Real Estate line of business on a wide spectrum of matters, including, but not limited to: o Real Estate Transactions o ADA o Environmental o Local Licensure o Construction o Litigation o M&A o Landlord/ Tenant disputes o Land Use
Responsible for identifying and assessing legal risk, providing legal advice, and/or assisting in resolving and/or escalating matters which may present potential exposure to the company.
Communicating with legal partners and line of business clients on risk and compliance issues.
Providing support in connection with the development and maintenance of standard documentation / legal forms.
Performing legal research on issues pertaining to real estate matters.
Requirements
Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school and licensed to practice law in good standing
8 years of post-bar experience in a law firm, government, and/or corporate setting
Possess superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize matters, utilize time management skills, and move between matters fluidly
Ability to handle a heavy workload, manage stress effectively and meet critical deadlines
Able to work autonomously without close supervision
Team-oriented mentality and excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
