Configure network equipment including gateways, switches, firewalls, and related hardware according to technical specifications and customer requirements
Set up and initialize TELUS Business Services equipment for new customer installations, upgrades and repairs
Perform initial provisioning and baseline configurations on network devices
Document all configuration changes and maintain accurate records
Diagnose and resolve equipment configuration issues and connectivity problems
Provide second-level technical support to field teams and customers
Validate equipment functionality through testing and quality assurance protocols
Monitor network equipment health and performance metrics
Perform routine maintenance tasks and firmware updates
Conduct equipment audits and inventory management
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Information Technology or related field is preferred
1-2 years of experience in network administration, systems support, or related technical role
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
Experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
Familiarity with configuration management and network protocols
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and follow technical documentation and schematics
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for on-site visits)
