Responsibility for strategic purchasing in the area of hydraulics and powertrain
Analyzing, assessing, and continuously monitoring the global procurement market, including identifying potential savings and optimization opportunities
Developing, implementing, and continuously improving commodity group and supplier strategies as well as supply chain security
Conducting national and international price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations
Managing and enforcing claim management processes with international suppliers
Preparing well-founded award recommendations based on TCO, cost, risk, and make-or-buy analyses
Close collaboration with development, quality, production, and supply chain within cross-functional teams
Requirements
Successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within a manufacturing industrial company
In-depth technical understanding of hydraulic or powertrain components
Experience in commodity group management, international supplier management, and the development of sustainable procurement strategies
Comprehensive knowledge of contract law and practical experience in claim management
Excellent SAP skills as well as confident use of MS Office, especially Excel for cost and TCO analyses
Analytical, structured, and results-oriented approach to work, along with strong team and communication skills
Negotiation-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits, audits, and negotiations
