Own the full deal lifecycle
independently source leads, manage the pipeline, negotiate terms, and close deals from start to finish
Develop and maintain relationships with music labels, artists, managers, and brands within the music industry
Sell podcast sponsorships and host-read integrations across AFM’s audio properties, identifying the right fit between brands and programming
Generate new leads through proactive outreach, industry events, and leveraging your existing network
Secure long-term advertising partnerships across all AFM platforms
Sell and execute custom giveaway promotions and brand integrations
Work cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, and design teams to craft compelling advertising solutions
Stay ahead of industry trends and propose creative, out-of-the-box advertising ideas
Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals
Requirements
5+ years of ad sales experience within the media or entertainment industry
Demonstrated experience owning deals end-to-end, from lead generation through close
Proven track record of selling to music labels, artists, and brand partners
Established network of music industry contacts (labels, managers, brands, etc.)
Experience selling across print, digital, and branded content platforms
Experience selling podcast advertising or audio sponsorships strongly preferred
Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals at market rates
Highly self-sufficient
comfortable identifying and pursuing your own opportunities autonomously
Creative thinker with the ability to pitch unique advertising solutions
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for music and media.
