About this role
Role Overview
Lead and contribute to nuclear safety cases for complex naval nuclear infrastructure
Apply deterministic safety analysis methodologies within a structured, regulation-informed design process
Engage with licensing and regulatory frameworks governing nuclear-powered naval operations
Produce and review technical design substantiation documentation to the standard demanded by nuclear regulation
Mentor and develop the next generation of Australian NSQEP
Requirements
Established experience across the following disciplines:
Safety-informed design process
Deterministic Safety Analysis
Regulation and licensing
Technical design substantiation
Engineering degree or equivalent relevant qualification
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance
Experience in high-hazard industries operating under formal regulatory regimes (Desirable)
Direct experience with nuclear-powered submarine programmes (Desirable)
Involvement in the delivery of nuclear facilities or infrastructure (Desirable)
Background in Defence project delivery (Desirable)
