About this role
Role Overview
Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model
Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies
Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business
Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers
Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening
Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems
Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers
Requirements
1+ year of sales experience preferred
HS Diploma or equivalent
A valid driver’s license is required
Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
