Role Overview
Lead and manage the overall social media strategy across Marketing, Events, and Group functions
Develop clear social media plans that support business and growth objectives
Ensure all social media activity is aligned with the Group’s brand and messaging
Act as the main point of contact and expert for all social media matters
Oversee social media calendars across teams and divisions
Guide content creation to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and high quality
Provide clear direction and briefs to content, design, and marketing teams
Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms
Support and guide social media planning for events and campaigns
Define and track key performance indicators for social media
Monitor performance across all platforms and make improvements based on data
Share regular performance reports with management, including insights and recommendations
Continuously optimise content and strategy to improve results
Plan and manage social media campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and conversions
Work closely with internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned and delivered on time
Support the promotion of events, products, and brand initiatives
Oversee social media inboxes and ensure timely and professional responses
Build and maintain strong relationships with the online community
Lead and manage the social media team, providing clear direction and priorities
Set goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Support, coach, and develop team members to drive performance
Ensure high-quality output and strong collaboration across teams
Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and platform updates
Suggest and test new ideas to improve performance and engagement
Create content when needed, including quick, real-time content
Requirements
6+ years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Proven experience managing multiple brands, business units, or large-scale social media accounts
Experience delivering social media strategies that drive measurable business results
Strong background in campaign planning and performance tracking
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience in events, exhibitions, or B2B marketing is a plus
Proven experience managing social media at a senior level
Strong ability to build and execute social media strategies
Excellent writing and communication skills
Good understanding of content creation and visual storytelling
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to improve performance
Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
Familiarity with social media and analytics tools (e.g. Meta tools, Google Ads)
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
