Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the accounting team (general ledger and sub-ledgers)
Set and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and support the harmonization and further development of monthly and quarterly financial statements under HGB and IFRS, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements
Responsible for the timely preparation of annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
Close collaboration with other departments
Further develop and optimize relevant accounting systems and processes
Act as the point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration / Finance or a comparable qualification, including further training with a focus on accounting
Proven ability to prepare financial statements under HGB and IFRS and several years of professional experience in accounting
Experience in leading and developing employees
Strong English skills (minimum B2) spoken and written
Interest in and/or experience with process optimization and change management
High level of responsibility, strong conceptual skills and a service-oriented mindset
Ideally experience with SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4 HANA
