Economics Analyst

Role Overview

• Join a collaborative economics team
• Use evidence and analysis to deepen understanding of smaller business finance and the impact of the Bank’s work
• Support research and contribute insight
• Help produce outputs that inform decision-making internally and externally
• Analyze data and develop clear written insights
• Create visualisations and contribute to appraisal, evaluation, and impact work
• Work across varied projects producing briefings and research while building strong relationships

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience of applying microeconomics to real issues
• Ability to choose suitable data and methods for analysis
• Capability to produce analysis that stands up to scrutiny
• Skill in explaining findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience with econometric, mapping, or statistical packages (advantageous)
• Experience of working with complex information
• Ability to communicate insight in a structured way
• Contributing positively within a team
• Understanding of the Bank’s purpose and policy environment (valuable)
• A degree is essential for this role
