You will develop visual approaches to stories together with the editorial team — from the initial idea to implementation
You will identify which aspects of a topic are suitable for visualizations — and which are not
You will analyze and structure data to extract narrative insights
You will design and produce infographics for print, data-driven visualizations for our website, and, where applicable, interactive or scroll-based formats
You will contribute your own topic and visualization ideas
You will help establish standards and workflows for visual storytelling within the newsroom
Requirements
Experience in data journalism, visual storytelling, or infographics
A strong sense for journalistic relevance and narrative structure
The ability to communicate complex content clearly and visually
Experience working with data (analysis, structuring, interpretation)
Confident use of common visualization tools (e.g., Datawrapper, Flourish, Illustrator, or similar)
Ideally some experience with interactive formats (e.g., basic web visualizations)
Strong communication skills: you can collaborate with editors as equals and develop ideas together
Basic knowledge of JavaScript or web technologies is a plus
