Set the vision and execution priorities for the Rheumatology FRM team, aligned to brand strategy and patient access goals
Ensure FRM operating procedures and field activities comply with applicable regulations, AbbVie policies, and MLR-approved ways of working
Develop and execute a national strategy for patient services, access resources, and programs
Identify training needs and support in-field, regional, and national meeting execution
Build the access infrastructure, training, and deployment models needed to support new indication launches, new modalities, and geographic expansion
Monitor team performance, activity, and capacity through analytics, and close gaps in measurement by shifting the organization from activity metrics to impact metrics
Drive a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, compliance, and customer-centricity
Identify and develop succession candidates at the AD and FRM levels, building talent from within
Partner with Market Access, Trade, Legal, Compliance, Patient Support Services, and IT to navigate healthcare landscape changes, maintain program integrity, and ensure accurate vendor data exchange
Ensure both teams consistent, compliant, and differentiated reimbursement support — covering coding, coverage, billing, patient affordability, and product acquisition.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or equivalent) strongly preferred
8–12+ years of progressive experience in field leadership, access and reimbursement market access, and healthcare strategy
Minimum 5 years leading field-based teams, with demonstrated experience managing managers (not just individual contributors)
Proven track record of building or scaling an infield team — hiring, structuring, and developing teams through periods of rapid growth
Proven ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement, specialty drug acquisition, and distribution.
Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership impact and ability to work effectively across functions
Valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
