You are responsible for ensuring optimal supply and inventory planning for distribution centres and hubs within your assigned category.
You balance service levels, availability targets, and contractual supplier agreements while safeguarding stock efficiency across the network.
You manage replenishment planning, container and long-term supply planning, and urgent supply issue resolution.
Maintain and improve forecasts and replenishment parameters in planning systems.
Follow up on supplier performance (OTIF, lead times, MOQ, delivery issues).
Monitor inbound flows, orders, and stock positions daily.
Manage promotions and seasonal supply readiness.
Lead supplier performance discussions and resolve structural supply issues.
Analyse root causes and propose continuous improvement actions.
Contribute to tactical pre-season planning (allocation, OTB, replenishment strategy).
Support projects such as inventory optimisation and system improvements.
Act as senior team member, stepping in for the Unit Planning Manager when needed.
Coach and onboard new planners.
Requirements
A completed Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain or similar
At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, merchandising, or similar roles within retail or trading environments (retail experience is mandatory or strong retail connection required)
Strong Excel skills and high affinity with data and numbers
Experience with DC replenishment systems (e.g. Slimstock, Symphony) is a plus (knowledge is preferred)
Experience with article forecasting is preferred
Experience in international retail or high-volume operational environments is an advantage
Strong stakeholder management experience across commercial, buying, logistics and supplier environments
Excellent command of English (written and spoken) with Dutch being a BIG plus.
