Have field construction accountability for the successful execution of Power Grid Operations (PGO) construction, maintenance, and restoration activities.
Manage the execution of PGO work plan in accordance with the appropriate Scope and Method of payment while maintaining financial stewardship.
Ensure the efficient utilization of contractor resources to meet the work plan.
Ensure customer and company project goals are met while working with both internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as the single point of contact for all PGO contractors.
Ensure project is built per Duke Energy’s specifications and standards.
Assist the project team with managing, enforcing or ensuring: Project costs, Schedule adherence to achieve project in-service dates, Compliance with permitting requirements, Adherence to safe work practices, Coordination of material as needed, Public safety is maintained.
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience and an Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Other Related Degree.
Seven (7) years of experience and Highschool Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or relevant field experience and three (3) years' required work experience that must be in utility construction.
Experience performing H&S safety observations.
Possesses experience in multiple roles and/or jurisdictions in PGO.
Understanding of crane operations and associated rigging.
Understanding of DOT work zone compliance.
Thorough understanding of the “Keys to Life” safety document.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills with various internal tools and software applications
(Maximo, Plantview, Construction Audit Tool, iTOA, Duke Energy GIS system, Planed Outage Portal(D), and Duke Energy ADMS tool (Distribution).
