Role Overview
- Lead the planning and execution of projects requiring manufacturing engineering practices
- Lead activities for improvements to engineering designs, manufacturing processes, large-scale systems integration and software applications
- Approve supporting processes and related documentation
- Lead consultation and training on procedures and processes related to engineering and production
- Develop advanced manufacturing technology and guides its implementation into production
- Lead technical and administrative activities to meet regulatory, production and process requirements in support of the manufacturing plan
- Communicate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure products and services meet requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems
Requirements
- 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
- 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (preferred)
- Composite Fabrication experience (preferred)
- Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers (preferred)
- Experience with 3D model-based instruction (preferred)
- Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms (preferred)
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci) (preferred)
- Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.) (preferred)
