Responsible for coding, reviewing and posting all ongoing business transactions for selected entities within the corporate group
Cover the full spectrum of accounting across all general ledgers (including closing entries such as accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT returns) and work closely with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for individual entities under HGB and IFRS, and support in preparing the group consolidated financial statements
Independently perform reconciliations with other departments
Ensure master data maintenance and perform regular account reconciliations
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training with an additional qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant) and/or a degree in business administration
At least initial professional experience in accounting within a company, tax advisory office or auditing firm and good knowledge of accounting regulations under HGB; basic knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) is desirable
Confident user of relevant financial accounting systems, ideally SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA
Good command of MS Office (especially Excel) is required
Very good German and at least good English skills (B2)
High level of independence, initiative and sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of teamwork
Strong analytical thinking and a confident appearance, absolute discretion, accuracy and reliability
