The Cargo Ramp Ops General Manager provides leadership oversight at the station for all aspects of operational performance and service delivery in the Airport environment including operational activities below the wing.
Operational planning and safe execution of all Ramp operations
Department Administration and Financial Controls
Responsible for accomplishing budgeted financial objectives and maintaining an effective and involved workforce comprised of unionized, management & administrative employees.
Operational performance and Customer specific SLAs
Ramp GSE oversight and compliance with airport and corporate policies
Position interfaces frequently with other departments including Station Operations Center, Customer Service, Business office, Flight Operations, Onboard, Maintenance, in addition to government agencies, airport authorities, business partners and vendors
Collaborates with Union leadership to ensure fair and accurate administration of collective bargaining agreements, and ongoing positive Union-Management relations.
Active involvement in local airport community (TSA, Airport Authority, other airlines)
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of management experience in an operational environment.
Minimum 2 years of ramp leadership in an airport operations environment
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Effective decision-making skills with a focus on goal-oriented leadership
Expertise in identifying problems, analyzing situations, and devising effective action plans, along with knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
