Role Overview
- Design, refactor, and evolve core Discovery platform components
- Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability and stability
- Own platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery
- Collaborate closely with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items
- Mentor and support other engineers through technical leadership and clear communication
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js (TypeScript)
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Practical experience with Linux and Docker
- Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing production systems
- Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Valid VISA to work in Czechia / EU.
- General knowledge about Networks (L2/L3) or network automation (Bonus)
- Experience with a process debugging and profiling (Bonus)
- Experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing (Bonus)
- CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience (Bonus)
