Develop and improve workflows and procedures by critically analyzing existing processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, standardizing routines, and adopting best practices to achieve greater operational efficiency, tax compliance, and risk mitigation.
Perform calculation and reconciliation of indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS and withholdings) by processing data in Tax One, ensuring correct tax computation.
Calculate tax incentives and benefits by processing data in Tax One to ensure accurate tax calculations.
Prepare and submit ancillary tax obligations (SPED Fiscal, EFD-Contribuições, GIA, DCTF) according to legal schedules by generating, validating and transmitting filings to the tax authorities, ensuring the integrity of the information submitted.
Monitor and allocate special tax credits using systems and spreadsheets to enable tax recovery and financial optimization.
Provide internal technical guidance to business units and less-experienced colleagues regarding tax documents and tax scenarios mapped in the rules matrix, aiming to prevent errors at the source of postings.
Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation, covering technical review scenarios, tax calculations, reconciliations, filings and payments, assessing impacts on internal processes and systems to maintain company compliance.
Support inspections and audits by performing technical analysis, tax and benefit recalculations, correcting discrepancies and/or providing information to the governance area so they can prepare the defense, ensuring compliance within agreed deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Experience in calculation of indirect taxes, tax account reconciliations, assisting with preparation of ancillary tax filings and responding to tax audits/inspections.
Intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Knowledge of SAP and Tax One.
Familiarity with the new tax reform.
