About this role
Role Overview
Preparing design layouts, creating detail part, assembly, and install models
Releasing data sets using CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
Applying relevant company techniques to plan, layout, and maintain engineering designs
Interface with other vehicle subsystem teams to create and place avionics boxes in the vehicle model
Reviewing engineering drawing and designs to ensure alignment to established specifications and standards
Implementing engineering and manufacturing standard methodologies
Requirements
Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design
4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry
Proficiency in model generation and release processes using Creo Parametric and Windchill
Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5)
Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons
Experience in designing spacecraft avionics parts and assemblies
Excellent attention to detail and task ownership
Strong written and verbal communication skills
