Supervising and coordinating daily operations of the designated unit, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes
Caring for trauma patients, surgical patients, and cardiovascular patients
Utilizing specialized equipment to care for patients
Providing education to staff including critical care courses and certifications
Conducting annual needs assessments with staff
Developing, interpreting, and implementing policies, guidelines, protocol, job descriptions, and performance appraisals annually
Maintaining adequate staffing patterns and adjusting assignments as necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
Five (5) or more years of experience in the field of nursing, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
