Lead category management for key accounts delivering actionable recommendations across assortment, space planning, and promotional activities
Build scorecards and benchmarking to track performance and inform joint business planning
Synthesize multiple data sources (POS, syndicated, shipment, retailer inputs) into clear, defensible insights
Develop category stories that move beyond reporting to influence retailer decisions
Evaluate promotional effectiveness and pricing strategies to improve category and portfolio outcomes
Lead development and deployment of AMPS/4P framework across species portfolios
Create repeatable toolkits (segmentation, assortment frameworks, space logic) that scale across accounts
Expand team knowledge and skillset of category management
Partner across sales, customer marketing, portfolio/species teams to align recommendations and business priorities
Ensure current strategies reflect retailer goals, shopper behavior, and portfolio strategy
Act as liaison for retail-embedded field analysts; set priorities and standardize outputs
Build and manage a consistent cadence of scorecards, insights reviews, and category updates
Improve data integration and reporting efficiency over time
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of work experience in category management, shopper insights, retail analytics within CPG, animal nutrition, or adjacent industry
Demonstrated ability to influence retail partners with fact-based assortment, pricing, space, and promotional analytics and recommendations
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong data analytic skills with experience working across customer data platforms and syndicated tools like Numerator, Stackline, Nielsen/IRI, Euromonitor, etc.
Advanced experience in building data visualization and performing analytics within business intelligence tools: Tableau, PowerBI
Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
