Role Overview
Define and lead Walmart's tech partnerships roadmap aligned to product and enterprise strategy.
Identify and evaluate high impact opportunities across the tech ecosystem.
Conduct market analysis, tech diligence, and financial modeling to inform partner vs buy/build decisions.
Develop exec-ready recommendations. Influence senior leadership on strategic direction.
Lead end to end deal execution from exploratory discussions through term sheets and full contract negotiation and execution.
Structure complex agreements involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models.
Build scalable and durable deal constructs.
Launch and scale new tech partnerships that enable AI and other experiences.
Drive co-build initiatives across APIs, data integrations, infrastructure and experiences.
Establish governance and metric frameworks to ensure long term value creation.
Lead highly matrixed teams across Engineering, Product, eCommerce, Advertising, Membership, Marketplace, Payments, Marketing, and Enterprise Technology.
Remove execution barriers and drive accountability across internal and external partners.
Serve as a central point across strategic partners. Build and manage a portfolio of strategic technology partnerships that accelerate Walmart's AI, Commerce and Growth agenda.
Requirements
12+ years of experience in business development, partnerships.
8+ years of experience negotiating and managing the implementation and execution of term sheets and signed agreements with partners.
Proven track record sourcing, structuring, and scaling enterprise-level partnerships that drive measurable business impact.
Experience influencing and presenting to executive leadership, including VP, SVP, C-suite, and external executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage complex partner relationships, and drive adoption of new products and features.
Preferred experience: Bachelor’s degree in quantitative, business or related field. MBA preferred. Experience working at or partnering with hyperscalers, foundation model providers, leading technology companies, AI-native startups, or platform businesses. Background in retail, eCommerce, digital advertising, consumer technology, marketplace platforms, or ecosystem businesses. Experience leading global strategic partnerships and multi-party partnership ecosystems.
