About this role
Role Overview
Plays an integral role in helping Balchem become customers' preferred supplier
Develops customer intimacy and demonstrates market-leading knowledge
Delivers profitable market access solutions and provides exceptional customer service
Leads cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic account plans
Develops and executes short and long-term strategic account plans
Regularly reviews and provides status reports on progress
Identifies customer needs and collaborates with internal teams for solutions
Obtains and reports marketing data; monitors trends and recommends actions
Plans, schedules, and makes regular calls to assigned accounts
Manages contracts and pricing, including negotiations
Communicates and maintains accurate sales forecasts
Responds to customer inquiries and assists with product applications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with MBA required; technical degree preferred
Minimum 7 years progressive sales or business development experience
Most recent 2+ years experience in managing multiple accounts within the food ingredient industry
Strong leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans
Strong business acumen with an ability to lead and develop cross-functional opportunities
Must be willing to travel up to 60% with overnight stays required
