Accounting Technician – Financial Analysis

Role Overview

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, reinsurance statements, and various invoices
• Calculate and process bonus payments for group insurance brokers
• Participate in month-end and year-end activities
• Perform accounting and financial analyses to support results interpretation
• Calculate and process commissions paid to group insurance brokers
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional team projects

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, complex billing, or financial operations
• DEC in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent
• Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel (intermediate level)
• Strong proficiency in French (spoken and written)
• Demonstrates discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
• Knowledge of group savings and group insurance (an asset)
