About this role
Role Overview
- Build and operate a modern, AI-assisted testing strategy for our next product generation (Laravel/Vue.js)
- End-to-end test automation with Playwright or similar, including AI-assisted test case generation and self-healing tests
- Quality assurance for our AI products: evaluation of LLM outputs, prompt testing, hallucination checks and behavioral tests for agentic workflows
- Establish a testing pyramid with the developers (Unit, Integration, E2E) with tight integration into CI/CD
- AI-assisted bug reproduction and root-cause analysis; translate customer tickets into reproducible tests
- Close collaboration with developers, product managers and the Co-CEO
Requirements
- AI-native toolset (tools you actively use): test automation with Playwright, Cypress or comparable frameworks, ideally with AI code generation
- Daily driver such as Claude or ChatGPT for test case generation, edge-case analysis and test code
- Cursor or similar AI IDEs to quickly understand Vue.js and Laravel code and write appropriate tests
- Ideally experience with LLM evaluation (Promptfoo, Braintrust, LangSmith or custom evaluation pipelines)
- Understanding of MCP, agentic workflows or Custom GPTs and how to test these systematically
- You understand the difference: you know when an AI-generated test is sufficient and when hands-on testing with precise assertions is required
- Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), Git and pull-request-driven workflows
- Strong understanding of API testing (REST), databases (MySQL/Postgres) and web architectures. Mobile apps (iOS & Android) are a plus.
