As COO / Head of Operations you are the operational and strategic sparring partner to the founder, Joel.
You take responsibility for delivery, the team and processes — and drive the AI-first culture from within.
You close the gap between growth ambitions and operational reality: you independently run client projects, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and at the same time build the internal structures the agency can systematically scale on.
You act as a quasi co‑founder alongside the founder, carrying significant responsibility and operating at executive level on equal footing.
You lead workshops, develop strategies and steer implementation within the team.
You systematically secure quality and adherence to deadlines.
You are the first escalation point for clients and the team.
You develop the delivery team both technically and organizationally.
You plan capacity, identify bottlenecks early and resolve them.
You onboard new team members and create role clarity.
You continuously improve meeting routines, KPIs and ownership structures.
You introduce AI workflows across the team and make them standard practice.
You independently develop automations (e.g., with n8n, Cursor, Claude).
You help design AI hackathons, train and inspire the team.
You document and communicate measurable efficiency gains.
In weekly sparring sessions with the CEO you act as a decision partner on equal terms.
You contribute to shaping company strategy and frameworks.
You further develop products, pricing and offering structures.
You prepare and manage operational reporting.
Requirements
5–8+ years of professional experience in online marketing, an agency or consultancy — at least 2–3 years with real leadership responsibility.
Deep understanding of performance marketing (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta) — you can professionally challenge concepts, figures and strategies.
Important: you can not only evaluate campaigns theoretically but also set them up and run them yourself.
Confident handling of analytics & reporting (Looker Studio, GA4, Google Sheets) — you speak the language of numbers.
AI‑first mindset — not just as a user, but as a builder. You explore AI agents and automations with genuine curiosity (Claude, Cursor, n8n, ChatGPT & co.).
Ideally experience with PE‑backed clients or mid‑market companies.
And personally: you think strategically and execute operationally — not either/or. You are hands‑on, solution‑oriented and tenacious: you don’t just raise issues, you solve them.
You communicate strongly — with CEOs, PE investors and junior team members alike. And you have an entrepreneurial mindset: you think in terms of growth, not tasks. “Skin in the game” for you is not a phrase but an attitude.
