Actively contribute to tax transformation by helping to collect, document, and enable prioritization of practical and scalable opportunities to significantly improve Tax activities and processes.
Drive the execution of selected opportunities from inception to delivery.
Lead workshops with domain experts and partners to understand tax processes / activities / technologies and conduct opportunity analysis for risks and improvement opportunities.
Own the development and deployment of tax digital assets, data extraction from various sources (ERPs, sharepoint, databases, spreadsheets, APIs) and provide hands on support to tax citizen developers in the development of new digital technology solutions, including Power Apps and Power BIs.
Ensure the provision of training in these tools to wider tax team.
Ensure tax SMEs receive ongoing support through consistent communication, frequent updates, the exchange of success stories, and access to technical support groups.
Ensure active analysis of customer needs and identifying gaps and risks.
Work within our agile approach to plan, handle and own work, including supporting the facilitation of retrospectives to ensure lessons learned are incorporated into appropriate actions.
Deliver change activities required to embed new behaviours, practices, and business processes.
Requirements
Educated to a degree standard with additional qualification or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in finance / tax transformation with a solid understanding of transformation projects, including data and process change activities.
Good understanding of core finance / tax concepts and activities.
Ability to take the initiative to create opportunities for improvement and problem resolution.
Ability to work in an agile and matrixed environment across multiple projects, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Adept at understanding, compiling, and improving established policies and procedures through collaboration with support teams.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, attention-to-detail, and self-starter.
Excellent business verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence others to accomplish initiatives.
Strong working experience with SAP and Microsoft Suite of tools (O365, Power Suite, CoPilot).
