Operational and disciplinary management of the accounting team (general ledger and sub-ledgers)
Define and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and support the harmonization and further development of monthly and quarterly financial statements under HGB and IFRS, including balance sheet, profit & loss (P&L) and cash flow statements
Responsible for the timely preparation of annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
Close collaboration with other departments
Further development and optimization of relevant accounting systems and processes
Point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration / Finance or a comparable qualification, including further training with a focus on accounting
Strong proficiency in HGB and IFRS and several years of professional experience in accounting
Experience in leading and developing staff
Confident English skills (at least B2) spoken and written
Interest in and/or experience with process optimization and change management
High level of responsibility, strong conceptual skills and service orientation
Ideally: experience with SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4 HANA
