Design and analysis of substation site infrastructure for high-voltage electrical facilities, including structural steel, foundations, rigid bus systems, site grading, stormwater management, oil containment, and substation sanitary and water services.
Assist in the development and approval of project scopes, specifications, engineering designs, details, material ordering, and cost estimates.
Adhere to project schedules, including detailed planning of successive construction phases.
Coordinate with Substation Engineering and Design to communicate project details.
Review engineering vendor submittals and participate in vendor meetings.
Review all construction drawings and design documentation prior to issuance to construction contractors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program (required).
3-5 years of civil/structural experience (required), preferably in the electrical utility industry.
Hold a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license (preferred).
Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Software proficiency: RISA (3D, Foundation, Connection) and MathCAD.
