Act as the primary point of contact for product-related decisions
Collaborates with engineering, design, Quality Assurance (QA), and business stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision and roadmap
Maintains, prioritizes, and refines the Agile Release Train (ART) and system backlog (features, enablers, systemic improvements)
Defines ART objectives, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes
Validates acceptance/readiness for system integrations and releases
Balances capacity between Keeping the Lights On (KTLO) and new work and be able to defend value tradeoffs
Anticipates and identifies cross‑team dependencies and systemic risks
Provides quantitative inputs for metrics such as predictability, velocity trend, carryover, defect leakage, etc. and makes prioritization decisions based on value, risk, and effort
Advocates for investments that improve quality, flow, and agile maturity
Participates in sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming
Tracks product performance and recommends improvements
Translates business demand for portfolios (Acquire to Retire, Source to Pay) into actionable backlog items
Makes critical decisions on feature prioritization based on business demand, Return on Investment (ROI), and customer feedback
Defines product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities to align with organizational goals
Ensures the team delivers usable data products (datasets, dashboards, insights)
Defines requirements and accept user stories during Scrum meetings, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Makes critical decisions on feature prioritization based on market demand, ROI, and customer feedback
Reviews deliverables and ensure they meet acceptance criteria
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience in project and/or program management as related to product development
5+ years of experience with Project and Product Management
3+ years of experience launching new software and/or aerospace technologies and products
3+ years of experience in Agile Methodologies
Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time domestically
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
10+ years of experience in portfolio oversight of foundational DMO statement of work, including capacity management, portfolio-level risk management, and gated process adherence (preferred)
10+ years of experience in lean focal activities including but not limited to tracking lean accomplishments & KPIs (preferred)
