About this role
Role Overview
Lead the planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture, land development and planning projects;
Lead the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, and designs for projects;
Mentor, train, and motivate staff.
Supervise, review and approve work of project staff;
Plan, schedule and develop task and project budgets.
Prepare progress reports and draft change orders;
Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines.
Minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
Actively participate in and maintain a committee-level membership from a professional Landscape Architecture or technical society;
and Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture required
Master’s degree a plus
10+ years of related experience
Passion for design excellence and the challenges of creating inspiring places in urban environments
Professional landscape architect license
LEED AP or AICP certification considered a plus
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Prior project management experience with the ability to grow, lead, and cultivate staff
Knowledge of local, city, county, and state land use processes and regulations strongly preferred
Ability to interact well with senior leaders of the firm, coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
Experience in report and proposal writing, billing, and budgeting
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and meetings and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
