About this role
Role Overview
- Act as an alternative in-office resource to address HCP questions about patient access
- Call directly on HCP offices in assigned geography to answer questions about patient access & reimbursement
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools
- Advise HCPs on patient prescription status and program eligibility
- Educate HCP offices on payer processes and procedures
- Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of experience in specific therapeutic area with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes and access related situations for specialty medicines
- Strong understanding and ability to communicate technical elements of coding and billing requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and associated reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in the specific therapeutic area space
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Must satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
