Role Overview
- Reports into the Clinical Study Leadership SMAO Director.
- Responsible for managing a regional team of 15-17 Study Management Associates.
- Drive for best-in-class study execution.
- Performance management of direct reports.
- Provides professional success opportunities for SMAs.
- Manage business continuity and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and training.
- Develop relationships with direct reports and stakeholders.
- Support efficiencies and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, degree in health care or scientific field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of clinical research experience.
- 6+ years of relevant study operations management and people management experience.
- At least (3) years of direct people management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Successful coaching/mentoring, directly or in a matrix environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in drug development/clinical operations.
