About this role
Role Overview
- Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies
- Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded
- Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations
- Accurately labels and packages medications
- Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized
- Inspects equipment and documents any equipment failures or defects
- Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
- Able to perform basic & intermediate level mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
