Role Overview
- Assess the Postgres product database and design an analytics architecture
- Build reliable extraction pipelines from Postgres
- Design and implement a well-structured operational data store
- Define canonical business metrics
- Stand up internal analytics and customer-facing dashboards
- Evaluate and recommend tooling for transformation
- Set up secure data access and infrastructure in AWS
- Establish data quality checks and pipeline observability
- Write documentation for AI coding agents
- Attend daily standup and work closely with Ciaran
Requirements
- Led or owned the architecture of a data platform
- Strong, hands-on experience working with Postgres
- Independently set up a cloud data environment in AWS
- Built a data platform from scratch or near-scratch
- Strong in both data engineering and analytics engineering
- Deep SQL and data modelling capability
- Understand BI and semantic-layer tooling
- Pragmatic about tooling
- Write documentation for AI coding agents
