The Senior Solution Architect focuses on designing business-driven, standards-based, and future-ready solutions within a complex, multiple solution, or product context
Design solutions that meet product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards while managing non-functional requirements (NFR) and fitness functions
Lead others to solve complex problems, maintain the vision and roadmap for multiple solutions, provide technical oversight to product teams, and evaluate new technologies to continuously improve existing solutions and manage technical debt
Own the documentation for critical architectural choices regarding instrument communication, data acquisition and data integrity
Design high-availability architectures for Instrument Control systems
Lead the technical design for the transition from hybrid paper/digital workflows to a fully integrated Paperless QC environment
Conduct technical 'deep-dives' and feasibility studies on emerging lab technologies
Create and evolve the Conceptual & Logical Data Models specifically for lab instruments
Architect and maintain the communication layer that facilitates seamless data exchange across the TechOps Quality ecosystem
Document and evolve the architecture throughout the product life cycle and align with the architecture community for governance
Requirements
Demonstrated experience designing business-driven, standards-based, future-ready solutions within a complex or multiple solution/product context
Knowledge of the domain of laboratory instruments and analytical procedures is an advantage
Experience maintaining the vision, roadmap, and current landscape for multiple solutions, and assessing the impacts of initiatives on capabilities, risk, and application landscapes
Proven track record of proactively contributing to architecture practices development and mentoring others
In-depth and expert-level knowledge in multiple technology areas incl. Windows based client and server technologies, databases, and virtualization
Proficient in creating Conceptual & Logical Data Models, taxonomies, ontologies, and Integration pathways for products
Ability to define and drive reference architectures, patterns, NFRs, and fitness functions
Ability to drive external technology trends and assess feasibility for multiple solutions, including conducting vendor assessments
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate difficult concepts and influence stakeholders to adopt different perspectives
Proactive mindset to identify opportunities to enhance value, improve existing solutions, manage technical debt, and lead teams in identifying innovative solutions
