Admin & Govern our tech stack centered on Snowflake: You will design and maintain our Snowflake environment, managing everything from Users, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) to warehouse scaling strategies.
Admin and Govern our other technologies including FiveTran, DataBricks, DBT, Airflow, and Monte Carlo.
Optimize Performance: identify bottleneck queries in Snowflake and inefficiencies in our other technologies.
Put Security First: Expert implementation of data security standards, including Dynamic Data Masking, Row-Level Security (RLS), and integrating SSO/SAML providers (like Okta).
Automate Operations: You will move away from manual clicks by using Python or SQL to automate user provisioning, monitoring alerts, and routine maintenance tasks.
Control Costs: You will monitor credit consumption and storage usage, implementing "guardrails" to ensure our infrastructure scales without budget surprises.
(Optional) Help Manage Tableau Ecosystem: Oversee our Tableau Cloud environment, ensuring site health, managing permissions, publications, and certifying data sources for business users.
Requirements
B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
3+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure Administration
Experience with Administering Data Platform Technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience with SQL and Python
Experience managing Data infrastructure on a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience (at least 2+ years) with Azure Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, dbt, Airflow, Spark, Terraform
