Prepare inspection plans for atmospheric storage tanks;
Perform in-service and out-of-service visual inspections of all types of tanks;
Analyze inspection data (thickness measurements, dimensional surveys, etc.);
Calculate component corrosion rates;
Prepare inspection reports including recommendations;
Prepare repair scopes and estimates;
Prepare and review plans for tank rehabilitation and repair;
Conduct on-site follow-ups during inspection and/or tank rehabilitation works;
Perform advanced analyses — able to interpret and coordinate finite element analyses;
Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules in effect at Norda Stelo and at client sites.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
Hold API 653 certification;
Have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years working with storage tanks;
Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Engineers Quebec);
Be autonomous, resourceful and proactive;
Knowledge of general degradation mechanisms (an asset);
Ability to coordinate projects;
Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques;
Willingness to travel occasionally within Québec.
