Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities under the direction of the Commissioning Director: walkdowns, loop checks, interlock verification, flushing, leak testing, and startup sequencing
Work through punch lists methodically
identify, document, and close out items with contractors and trades on-site
Follow commissioning procedures precisely and flag deviations clearly and immediately
Coordinate day-to-day on-site activities with contractors, trades, and host-site operations personnel
Serve as a reliable, professional Mantel presence on the ground
keeping work moving safely and on schedule
Support the Commissioning Director in maintaining a well-organized, well-documented site at all times
Maintain accurate commissioning records: completed procedures, punch lists, test results, and field observations
Ensure documentation is complete, legible, and organized — the record you leave behind matters
Feed field observations and lessons learned back to the engineering and commissioning team
Execute all work in compliance with site safety requirements, LOTO procedures, and Mantel's operating standards
Participate in pre-job safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments
Raise safety concerns immediately

Requirements
7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial plant commissioning, construction, or operations; relevant field experience and demonstrated commissioning competency are what count
You've been through at least one plant startup and know what the work actually looks like
pre-comm checks, punch lists, the last-minute scrambles, and how to keep your head through all of it
You're a careful, methodical executor
you follow procedures, document everything, and don't cut corners
You're comfortable working in industrial environments: heat, noise, PPE, shift schedules, and tight coordination with trades don't slow you down
You take direction well and communicate clearly
you keep the Commissioning Director informed and surface issues early
You're reliable and follow through without needing to be chased
