Responsible for minor and major construction projects, supervising employees and preparing and evaluating their performance.
Proficient at plan reading, highway engineering calculations, and the necessary survey instruments.
Responsible for consultation investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of environmental and safety impacts of work processes and products.
Provide project management oversight, which may include supervision of lower-level technical and professional staff.
Oversee or review environmental infrastructure and geomatic projects and manage implementation of projects/plans according to codes and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
