Implement and execute the local ABB Motion strategy in the HVACR field (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration).
Target and support planning and engineering offices, and especially end-customer companies.
Lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers and identify and support existing and new customers at municipal and industrial levels.
Focus on acquiring new customers through proactive outreach (including cold calling) and market development in data centers, district heating, and industrial heat pump applications.
Provide technical consultancy, product pre-qualification, and training to planners, engineering offices, system integrators, and end customers.
Prepare and analyze customer, market, and competitor information to support short
and long-term planning decisions in coordination with local management.
Collaborate with other ABB business units and local sales teams to grow the market sustainably and identify customer projects early.
Organize, conduct, and participate in specialist conferences, product presentations, regional trade fairs, marketing activities, training sessions, and exhibitions.
Requirements
Completed technician/master’s degree or technical degree in electrical engineering, electrical drive technology, or HVACR.
Several years of professional experience in field sales, particularly in cold calling and selling technically complex products.
Solid knowledge of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration industries, and detailed product knowledge in drive technology (drives and motors).
Experience in the strategic development of customer relationships with responsibility for revenue, margin, and customer growth.
Knowledge of project management and experience working with sales channels.
Experience organizing trade show participation and customer events with a product focus.
Fluent in German (written and spoken) and a good command of English.
Willingness to travel nationwide for customer visits (up to 3 times per week) and trade fairs.
